Samsunspor's Tolgahan Onay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Gana in the 88th minute of play. Özgür Onuker's late challenge caught a Club Deportes Santa Cruz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
