After a defensive mix-up in FK Husaria Bielsko-Biala's zone, Sebastián Garfias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerónimo Alonso lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 24th minute, Gerónimo Alonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Deportes Santa Cruz made a substitution. Côme Gato replaced Abel Gana. After 25 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Gerónimo Alonso. Sebastián Garfias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Wit Jerzyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Club Deportes Santa Cruz defense, Igor Zacharek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodosio Cerda. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodosio Cerda should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Gdowski came free, but Teodosio Cerda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Antoni Chowaniec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FK Husaria Bielsko-Biala booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Côme Gato didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Gdowski in the 89th minute of play forced Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Teodosio Cerda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Antoni Chowaniec made a precise shot to the right of Teodosio Cerda. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Igor Zacharek took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodosio Cerda. Teodosio Cerda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
