Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edwardo Marsland got the match started through his kick off. Ian Browne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Barling in the 7th minute of play. Ian Browne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwardo Marsland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Manly FC's Virgil Van Dijck got a free kick in the 14th minute. With 21 minutes on the clock, Neale Franklin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the match had been going on for 22 minutes, Gone With the Win's Rhys Whittingham got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Case Tisdell. In the 29th minute, Kent Barling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manly FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Marcus Didlick charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcus Didlick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes Manly FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Didlick. Jimmy Mulford received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Case Tisdell came out and tried to block the shot, but Jimmy Mulford slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 35th minute. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Rhys Whittingham got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Gone With the Win's Ollie Kennedy got a free kick in the 40th minute. After 43 played minutes Manly FC got a freekick which was hit by Calvin Vaughan. After recieving a nice pass, Gone With the Win's Rhys Whittingham tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goalkeeper Case Tisdell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimmy Mulford. 48 minutes into the game, Jimmy Mulford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Case Tisdell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stuart Brayson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Gone With the Win getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Rhys Whittingham hit a great ball. Stuart Brayson scored 4-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Case Tisdell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ted Wishart charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ted Wishart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ted Wishart hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Jimmy Mulford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Case Tisdell having to interfere. Stuart Brayson kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Case Tisdell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Brayson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paul Rogozinskiy took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Case Tisdell. Case Tisdell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. A collision led to Manly FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Kent Barling hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Stuart Brayson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Case Tisdell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gone With the Win's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
