NK BRONZIN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zrinko Crnojević was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 9 minutes, Mateo Zuber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NK BRONZIN and the Villa Verde FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes NK BRONZIN got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Zuber. Willian Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Goran Mahalec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Baiano in the 13th minute. Jacinto Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frano Udovčić in the 14th minute of play. Jacinto Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gvozden Maljković, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. NK BRONZIN's Gvozden Maljković managed to work through Villa Verde FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Gvozden Maljković dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Goran Mahalec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Velasco in the 24th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Villa Verde FC's Humberto Velasco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Goran Mahalec made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 32nd minute, one of NK BRONZIN:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for NK BRONZIN. Jacinto Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gvozden Maljković in the 40th minute of play. Goran Mahalec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Baiano in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Villa Verde FC made a substitution. Joel Ramos replaced Marcelo Alagoano. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gvozden Maljković to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Antônio Carlos Madureira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Goran Mahalec was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The NK BRONZIN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Goran Mahalec should have stopped the shot. Willian Vergílio might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Goran Mahalec. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willian Vergílio ran back to his position shaking his head. Villa Verde FC's Jacinto Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gvozden Maljković in the 85th minute of play. Jacinto Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gvozden Maljković, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. NK BRONZIN's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
