Ionel Lung started the match with the kick off. Kazimierz Penczkowski charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kazimierz Penczkowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Kazimierz Penczkowski got a free kick in the 4th minute. GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Tanek Prus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Inculeț in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of GIOVANNI DZIADZIA booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gelu Chivu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Witomir Lato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Benedykt Kieca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Witomir Lato came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the GIOVANNI DZIADZIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Witomir Lato couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Luca Inculeț left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Buzău fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 43 minutes into the match, Gelu Chivu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tanek Prus. GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gelu Chivu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 46th match minute, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kazimierz Cwojdak to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute Tudor Bosânceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Prus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The GIOVANNI DZIADZIA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Buzău were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Witomir Lato was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Buzău's Sorin Zâncă slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tanek Prus. That made the score 0-3 after 55 minutes of play. Tobiasz Zawadzki hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Inculeț came free, but Tanek Prus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanek Prus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionel Lung, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luca Inculeț received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tanek Prus came out and tried to block the shot, but Luca Inculeț slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Benedykt Kieca came free, but Gheorghe Vărzaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
