Brugge United's Arnold Wyns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Lampa in the 4th minute of play. Alessio Castellazzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Meys in the 5th minute of play. Alex Cicchinelli's late challenge caught a Brugge United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Cicchinelli helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Hyblae FC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cicchinelli. In the 10th minute of the match Dries Dirckx shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alessio Castellazzi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Meys in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alessio Castellazzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alessio Castellazzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Meys, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 19 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Christian Meys. Brugge United's Brian Weijnants got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 24 minutes, Christian Meys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brugge United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Meys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elia Colella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Arnold Wyns made a huge save. Alessio Castellazzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dries Dirckx went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Christian Meys put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Alessio Castellazzi. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Meys to make the kick off. Alessio Castellazzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Meys in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Colella came free, but Arnold Wyns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Lennert Van Meerbeec. In the 61st match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Meys to maneuver through the defense. Alessio Castellazzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Weijnants in the 62nd minute of the match. Hyblae FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Dries Dirckx scored to the left of an out of position Alessio Castellazzi, making the score, 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Meys got free with Alessio Castellazzi in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Brugge United's Alessio Castellazzi threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Brian Weijnants, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 73 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Cesare Moretta came free, but Arnold Wyns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lennert Van Meerbeec blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alessio Castellazzi having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennert Van Meerbeec in the 75th minute of play forced Hyblae FC's goalkeeper Alessio Castellazzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mickael Theunis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Alessio Castellazzi made a huge save. Lennert Van Meerbeec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesare Moretta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Mickael Theunis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Elia Colella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hyblae FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elia Colella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnold Wyns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alessio Castellazzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Meys in the 95th minute. The Hyblae FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brugge United's performance. The match ended with a win for Brugge United.
