Spectators: 7678 (Terracing: 5759, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronaldinho Cosme started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kauan Monteiro during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Kauan Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perivaldo Torres was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ronaldinho Cosme showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. In the 10thth minute of the game Kauan Monteiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palmeiras's Váldson de Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reynaldo de Castro took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Váldson de Queirós. Váldson de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 15 minutes into the match, Jardim América FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erasmo Correia. The supporters of Palmeiras booed when Jardim América FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horácio Lara struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Perivaldo Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmeiras. Téo Trancoso scored 2-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Perivaldo Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Lara in the 27th minute of play forced Jardim América FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo de Castro came free, but Váldson de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jardim América FC's Kauan Monteiro in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 51st minute Horácio Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Jardim América FC booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Jardim América FC's Anselmo Meireles got a free kick in the 61st minute. After some careless play in the Jardim América FC defense, Téo Trancoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Perivaldo Torres. The Jardim América FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Perivaldo Torres should have stopped the shot. Palmeiras's Váldson de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauan Monteiro in the 66th minute of play. Váldson de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauan Monteiro got free with Váldson de Queirós in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Horácio Lara made a precise shot to the right of Perivaldo Torres. Jardim América FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Kauan Monteiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Váldson de Queirós firmly grabbed it by the left post. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The Palmeiras support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
