After a rather tough play, Red Bull Club's Oliver Rajkov got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute Cordero Casuso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ognen Zografski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bidari Ansola during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Monitor Huáscar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bidari Ansola to maneuver through the defense. Johans Ortubia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dritan Kralevski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Red Bull Club's Ognen Zografski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordero Casuso in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Monitor Huáscar getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Víctor-Emilio Rivadeneyra-Gamonal hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Oliver Rajkov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute, Ovidio Varez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Risto Cukovski in the 44th minute of play forced Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Johans Ortubia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Risto Cukovski came free, but Johans Ortubia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ognen Zografski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oxel Viñales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cordero Casuso to strike the kick off in the second half. After 60 minutes, Oliver Rajkov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Bull Club and the Monitor Huáscar players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Red Bull Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Rajkov to maneuver through the defense. Monitor Huáscar's Benigno Torne was substituted for Txanton Sedeño. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Medardo Pombo replaced Pagomari Portilla. After a rather tough play, Monitor Huáscar's Benigno Torne got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Johans Ortubia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Rajkov in the 86th minute of play. If Ovidio Varez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Rajkov in the 93rd minute of play forced Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Johans Ortubia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Red Bull Club were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
