The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 played minutes SC Otten got a freekick which was hit by Mel Ecker. Stamatis Gitsis lost his temper 9 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to tHe SOnS of rAGnar getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Stamatis Gitsis hit a great ball. When Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the SC Otten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt couldn't finish the play. Loukas Kanavidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronnie Schilder in the 12th minute of play. Loukas Kanavidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frederik Vielmann went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 18 played minutes tHe SOnS of rAGnar got a freekick which was hit by Yamine Lamalle. Loukas Kanavidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronnie Schilder, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Olaf Lübke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babbis Siakkas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Nikos Lagonikakis got in the 28th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Olaf Lübke and thus it was 1-1. Niko Willams's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Olaf Lübke skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Olaf Lübke was a little too slow when Niko Willams got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-1. 41 minutes into the match, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's goal looked a bit too open when Frederik Vielmann came free, but Loukas Kanavidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, SC Otten's Ronnie Schilder sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Loukas Kanavidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Loukas Kanavidis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. SC Otten's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt in the 52nd minute. The supporters of SC Otten booed when tHe SOnS of rAGnar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babbis Siakkas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rudi Tenhagens short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Loukas Kanavidis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 73rd minute, Niko Willams left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The tHe SOnS of rAGnar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudi Tenhagen got free with Loukas Kanavidis in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the SC Otten defense, Niko Willams kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olaf Lübke. The SC Otten fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olaf Lübke should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Hansjörg Görlitz took a quick shot and it went in 4-3 without a chance for Loukas Kanavidis to make any attempt to save it. In the 89th minute, Rudi Tenhagen had to leave the field with a concussion. 89 minutes into the game, Menelaos Borbokis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Otten the free kick. In the 90th match minute, tHe SOnS of rAGnar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menelaos Borbokis to maneuver through the defense. Ronnie Schilder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Loukas Kanavidis having to make a save. With splendid footwork Mel Ecker arrived in front of goal to shoot 4-4 by the left pole in the game's 92nd minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
