The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miltos Theriaklis during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Eguzki. In the 8th minute Giannis Papakostopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Aballe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 11th minute. If David Beckham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chatziioannou Kakratsas struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Narciso Aballe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Go Ahead Eagles. Rigoberto Cordarrol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Beckhams short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Narciso Aballe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Natal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 minutes, Giannis Papakostopoulos made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP's Narciso Aballe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alkaios Tsionas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giorgos Tsartas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Narciso Aballe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alkaios Tsionas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Narciso Aballe made a huge save. Narciso Aballe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Giannis Papakostopoulos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Arjan Robben kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Narciso Aballe. That made the score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giannis Papakostopoulos to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Soulis Xanthakos in the 52nd minute of play forced LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP's goalkeeper Narciso Aballe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Aballe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Papakostopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Aballe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Soulis Xanthakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Chatziioannou Kakratsas took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narciso Aballe. Narciso Aballe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 58 minutes into the match, Chatziioannou Kakratsas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narciso Aballe. LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chatziioannou Kakratsas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 62nd minute Miltos Theriaklis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Aballe should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP's zone, Giannis Papakostopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Aballe came out of the goal and Giannis Papakostopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Chatziioannou Kakratsas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narciso Aballe was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Go Ahead Eagles were furious when Miltos Theriaklis was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Narciso Aballe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Beckham in the 77th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Chatziioannou Kakratsas got a free kick in the 80th minute. Soulis Xanthakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Narciso Aballe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86thth minute of the game Alkaios Tsionas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP's Narciso Aballe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP defense, Giorgos Tsartas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Aballe. The LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Aballe should have stopped the shot. LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP's Narciso Aballe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arjan Robben in the 92nd minute of play. After some careless play in the LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP defense, Chatziioannou Kakratsas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Aballe. The LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Aballe should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Go Ahead Eagles had played much better football throughout.
