Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arí Custódio in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arrigo Del Grosso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 36 minutes of play, Duri come il marmo's Fulvio Di Crescenzo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Augusto Silva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maicon Moura scored 2-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arrigo Del Grosso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Dogelo's Sérgio Gaúcho seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sérgio Gaúcho the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dogelo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sérgio Gaúcho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dogelo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arí Custódio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Duri come il marmo's Ferdinando Napoleone got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Fortunato Malvezzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Augusto Silva was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. In the 76th minute, Noel de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arí Custódio scored 4-4 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arrigo Del Grosso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 81 minutes into the game, Ettore Abete was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Duri come il marmo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dogelo the free kick.
