Bengt-Åke Kleen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chatziioannou Kakratsas, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Bengt-Åke Kleen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 5th minute of play. After 6 minutes, Giannis Papakostopoulos made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Doffes Damer's Bengt-Åke Kleen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute Dag Norberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themistoklis Charalambakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giannis Papakostopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bengt-Åke Kleen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Jakob Lööf kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, David Beckham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Beckham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bengt-Åke Kleen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 18th minute of the match. Giannis Papakostopoulos scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt-Åke Kleen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Go Ahead Eagles's Themistoklis Charalambakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Go Ahead Eagles from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Doffes Damer's Jakob Lööf seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jakob Lööf the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Doffes Damer protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jakob Lööf had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 34th minute Richard Dahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themistoklis Charalambakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt-Åke Kleen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Papakostopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giannis Papakostopoulos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adam Rosin's late challenge caught a Go Ahead Eagles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adam Rosin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Doffes Damer's Adam Rosin got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th play minute David Beckham came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bengt-Åke Kleen. 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dag Norberg during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, Dag Norberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Giannis Papakostopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Åke Kleen made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Chatziioannou Kakratsas sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Chatziioannou Kakratsas made a precise shot to the right of Bengt-Åke Kleen. Doffes Damer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Arjan Robben hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, David Beckham took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Bengt-Åke Kleen to make any attempt to save it. Chatziioannou Kakratsas hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Arjan Robben got a free kick in the 94th minute. Richard Dahlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Go Ahead Eagles could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Doffes Damer throughout the match.
