The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Varela during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dogelo's Abelardo Varela got a free kick in the 7th minute. Andrei Nicola took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Augusto Silva. Pedro Augusto Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hortêncio Messias charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hortêncio Messias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Dogelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Messias to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Augusto Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Bratoloveanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Tudor Bratoloveanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Augusto Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arí Custódio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 74th minute Arí Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mircea Avacariței saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nik Nicola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dogelo booed when FC Urzicuța was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Rogoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute Válter Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mircea Avacariței saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Andrei Nicola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Urzicuța fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Nik Nicola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Silva having to interfere.
