But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarvis Locke couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the game, Lance Morey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Obscurials's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Hanging Tree the free kick. Eleuterio Quexal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Moon in the 44th minute of the match. Lance Morey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eleuterio Quexal came out and tried to block the shot, but Lance Morey slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bradley Moon to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes The Obscurials got a freekick which was hit by Murdock Rosenboom. In the 51st minute of the match Victoriano Onofre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albert Day showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bradley Moon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Quexal having to interfere. Delmar Markel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Albert Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, The Hanging Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Markel to maneuver through the defense. Gogo Tajo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albert Day having to make a save. Gogo Tajo hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Victoriano Onofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes The Hanging Tree got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Gumaro. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Obscurials fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Hanging Tree had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
