Eustaquio Palban scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ture Nyman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomás Esiquio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Åke Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Nils-Åke Lindberg's late challenge caught a The Cavern Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Åke Lindberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Bora Bora got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Åke Lindberg. A collision led to The Cavern Club getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Marcial Baraquiel hit a great ball. Tomás Esiquio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Åke Lindberg in the 19th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Nils-Åke Lindberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Esiquio was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Ture Nyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Baraquiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bora Bora getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Carl Ekberg hit a great ball. If Jens Alebäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 34 minutes into the match, Nils-Åke Lindberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Esiquio. The Cavern Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nils-Åke Lindberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Ture Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Baraquiel in the 39th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nils-Åke Lindberg made a kick off. Jens Alebäck struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Tomás Esiquio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bora Bora. Bernt Lund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, The Cavern Club's Tomás Esiquio got control of the ball when Jens Alebäck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eustaquio Palban scored 2-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ture Nyman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th minute Marcial Baraquiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ture Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Bora Bora's Nils-Åke Lindberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Jens Alebäck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Tomás Esiquio made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Bernt Lund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven-Olof Gernberg hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Ture Nyman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Palban in the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Marcial Baraquiel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Ture Nyman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the match, Bora Bora's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Baraquiel came free, but Ture Nyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Marcial Baraquiel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Ture Nyman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute Eustaquio Palban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ture Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bora Bora's Ture Nyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Baraquiel in the 92nd minute of play. Nils-Åke Lindberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Tomás Esiquio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bora Bora players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Cavern Club.
