The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião Koehler got free with Ture Nyman in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bora Bora's Ture Nyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Vidal in the 14th minute of play. Ernesto Vargas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens Alebäck went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ture Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nils-Åke Lindberg was the one to do the kick off. Bora Bora's Ture Nyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Koehler in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute Sebastião Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ture Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Didi Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute of the match CA Portugália got a corner. Bora Bora's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Evaristo Coutinho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ture Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bora Bora's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Evaristo Coutinho was slow to take the kick. During this time CA Portugália's players had a chance to rest. Ture Nyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Evaristo Coutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ture Nyman was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Ture Nyman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Pires in the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Coutinho in the 92nd minute of play forced Bora Bora's goalkeeper Ture Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CA Portugália fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bora Bora had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
