The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Bart Drouard put in a rough tackle. 23 minutes into the game, one of Herblay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Herblay:s Jules Triboulet showed great skill when he stopped Evaristo Coutinho:s penalty. Jules Triboulet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Coutinho went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Malik Vrignon hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Sebastião Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jules Triboulet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Pires in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Herblay booed when CA Portugália was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jules Triboulet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Didi Pires made a kick off.
