The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Adriano Couve mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baez FC and the Bora Bora players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Baez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Couve to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Bora Bora's Staffan Westerberg got a free kick in the 7th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Bora Bora's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Cumplido came free, but Ture Nyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens Alebäck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maurilio Mendoza came out and tried to block the shot, but Jens Alebäck slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. Carl Ekberg kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Aristeo Vodanovic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Jens Alebäck kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maurilio Mendoza. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Baez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon-Ander Bazaes to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the game, Reine Wallmark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bora Bora's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baez FC the free kick. In the 33rd minute, one of Bora Bora:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bora Bora. 34 minutes into the match, Barni Didier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ture Nyman. Bora Bora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barni Didier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ture Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Cumplido, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Antonio Cumplido notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Bora Bora's Ture Nyman. Ture Nyman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Baez FC's Aristeo Vodanovic suffered a sore thigh after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Nils-Åke Lindberg charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils-Åke Lindberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Bora Bora got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Åke Lindberg. When Nils-Åke Lindberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 45 minutes had been played. Nils-Åke Lindberg kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Cumplido to make the kick off. Antonio Cumplido received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ture Nyman came out and tried to block the shot, but Antonio Cumplido slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 51st minute. With a little luck, Bora Bora's Ture Nyman got control of the ball when Karlos Fevre tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martino Goyenechea kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Bora Bora's Carl Ekberg in action when he in the 62nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Martino Goyenechea hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. A collision led to Bora Bora getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Carl Ekberg hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bora Bora's Örjan Häger got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 75th minute, Staffan Westerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the game, Antonio Cumplido recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ture Nyman. Antonio Cumplido showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. Ture Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Couve, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 82 minutes of play, Baez FC's Antonio Cumplido made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ture Nyman was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Baez FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Antonio Cumplido hit a great ball. After 94 played minutes Bora Bora got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Gernberg. Baez FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
