In the 2nd minute, Idacio Helguera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute, Cosmos Soccer Club's Russ Thorne ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lia Saez. Lia Saez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Los romperredes F.C's Idacio Helguera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruce Nesbitt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 12th match minute, Los romperredes F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casildo Galdamez to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Cyrus Crouch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cosmos Soccer Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los romperredes F.C the free kick. After 15 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Maher. In the 17th minute Gaskon Mayor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Nesbitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaskon Mayor in the 19th minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Bruce Nesbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Gaskon Mayor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruce Nesbitt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 24 minutes into the match, Los romperredes F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cyrus Crouch came free, but Lia Saez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosmos Soccer Club made a substitution. Franklin Willingham replaced Marcus Maher. After 26 played minutes Los romperredes F.C got a freekick which was hit by Fagondo Sampil. Bruce Nesbitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casildo Galdamez, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Bruce Nesbitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaskon Mayor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Russ Thorne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Lia Saez made a huge save. Russ Thorne came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lia Saez could save by the left post. After 40 minutes, Sid Hart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cosmos Soccer Club and the Los romperredes F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Sid Hart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Idacio Helguera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 46 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Cyrus Crouch. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Russ Thorne to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Los romperredes F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Russ Thorne came free, but Lia Saez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerard Reed kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cosmos Soccer Club's Franklin Willingham got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Idacio Helguera struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Bruce Nesbitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los romperredes F.C. In the 65th match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Thorne to maneuver through the defense. Gaskon Mayor succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 66th playminute. Bruce Nesbitt was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Idacio Helguera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Idacio Helguera really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Bruce Nesbitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Idacio Helguera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Cosmos Soccer Club defense, Casildo Galdamez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruce Nesbitt. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruce Nesbitt should have stopped the shot. 82 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Bruce Nesbitt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sabin Reyes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Idacio Helguera got free with Bruce Nesbitt in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaskon Mayor succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 90th playminute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jacob Valines kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruce Nesbitt. That made the score 1-8 in the 94 minute of play. When the match was over Los romperredes F.C could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cosmos Soccer Club throughout the match.
