After a rather tough play, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Nilton Couto got a free kick in the 5th minute. Kryspin Banan made an important save on a dangerous shot by César Cardozo in the 12th minute. After 14 played minutes CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Tinoco. In the 23rd minute of the match César Cardozo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kryspin Banan skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ defense, Olgierd Moryl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doriva Simões. The CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doriva Simões should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute Hermínio Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kryspin Banan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Herbert Cwenar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pogoń Szczecin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ the free kick. The supporters of CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ booed when Pogoń Szczecin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Cwenar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Júnior Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Júnior Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kryspin Banan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when César Cardozo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lukasz Panikowski during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pogoń Szczecin getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Lukasz Panikowski hit a great ball. Emanuel da Rocha lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Emanuel da Rocha got a free kick in the 59th minute. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Natã Koehler was substituted for Hermínio Araújo. In the 61st match minute, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Pogoń Szczecin's Leon Wiatrak tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Beniamin Bojanowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrício Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Kryspin Banan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Olgierd Moryl could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Doriva Simões however easily saved by the left post. 72 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's Beniamin Bojanowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doriva Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Doriva Simões came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Pogoń Szczecin's Olgierd Moryl. But to his dismay, Olgierd Moryl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 78th minute, César Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doriva Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beniamin Bojanowski in the 82nd minute of play. In the 88th minute, José Maria Macedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Fabrício Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
