Erland Löfkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. A hard shot by Róbson Melo from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Aaron Bergqvist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Paulo Branco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, DIF LEEDS BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Lindgren to maneuver through the defense. Hans Kellbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Mazza having to interfere. Aaron Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vasconcelos in the 97th minute of play. The DIF LEEDS BK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing DIF LEEDS BK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
