Federico Normando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carsten Schaub went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when Bendito Sea El Fernet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Bertin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes Bendito Sea El Fernet got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Suarez. After 27 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Carsten Schaub. 28 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Sönke Odenwälder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Bertin. Federico Normando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fritz Nettig, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Bernabe Suarez kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Sönke Odenwälder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeronimo Bertin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Olando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fritz Nettig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Federico Normando made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Bendito Sea El Fernet's Mario Tipi got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 78 played minutes Bendito Sea El Fernet got a freekick which was hit by Mario Tipi. Jeronimo Bertin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute Bolko Röhmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Normando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Uzuri in the 92nd minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Sönke Odenwälder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 minutes, Wilfredo Igon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bendito Sea El Fernet and the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
