The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Prudencio Roderigo put in a rough tackle. Martin Mele had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Carsten Schaub's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Sönke Odenwälder was left in no man's land by his defense there! Acratas Unidos's Martin Mele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Acratas Unidos from getting a goal against them. Martin Mele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bolko Röhmer in the 45th minute of the match. Carsten Schaub did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Martin Mele 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carsten Schaub stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s zone, Erasmo Oihan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sönke Odenwälder came out of the goal and Erasmo Oihan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the game, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Bolko Röhmer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Mele made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Haroldo Erruki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sönke Odenwälder having to interfere. Acratas Unidos's Martin Mele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fritz Nettig in the 66th minute of play. Haroldo Erruki might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sönke Odenwälder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Acratas Unidos's Ramiro Domeka shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sönke Odenwälder but with some difficulty. Martin Mele came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Fritz Nettig. But to his dismay, Fritz Nettig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fritz Nettig in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Mele saved Acratas Unidos from getting behind. In the 82nd minute, Fritz Nettig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carsten Schaub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes, Astor Obano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acratas Unidos and the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. players grew even worse after the yellow card. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Dejan Leuschner couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Acratas Unidos. Gervasio Montes charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gervasio Montes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Dejan Leuschner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martin Mele came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. reached it. Martin Mele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fritz Nettig in the 93rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Haroldo Erruki during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
