When Kurt Neijsen came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Winthont FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Neijsen couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ilulea FC booed when Winthont FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eelco Neijsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victoriano Ixona in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fokke Bergman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Saturnino Ezkerra kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Jose Chilavert was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Floris Talsma. 29 minutes into the game, Saturnino Ezkerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ilulea FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Winthont FC the free kick. After 29 played minutes Ilulea FC got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Ezkerra. The wind increased when Eelco Neijsen made the kick off in the second half. Winthont FC's Sipke Oosting got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Eelco Neijsen notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ilulea FC's Jose Chilavert. Jose Chilavert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fokke Bergman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Lesardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Jose Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eelco Neijsen in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Kurt Neijsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Kurt Neijsen in the 64th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 66 played minutes Winthont FC got a freekick which was hit by Floris Talsma. A collision led to Ilulea FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Marco Llorienzo hit a great ball. Jose Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eelco Neijsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Winthont FC's Eelco Neijsen in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ilulea FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 74th minute, Valentin Lesardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee gave Saturnino Ezkerra a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 88th match minute, Ilulea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Ezkerra to maneuver through the defense. Fokke Bergman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Lesardo in the 93rd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ilulea FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Winthont FC.
