Lorenzo Aimar started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Internet XAire's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Artal came free, but Baldomiro Enetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Artal took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomiro Enetz. Club Universidad Nacional's Fernando Abarca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Club Universidad Nacional from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the match, Club Universidad Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Sauveur came free, but Fernando Abarca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes Internet XAire got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Eusko. If Lorenzo Aimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Internet XAire's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Artal came free, but Baldomiro Enetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Gualterio Pio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomiro Enetz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Fabio Artal came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Club Universidad Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Artal couldn't finish the play. Baldomiro Enetz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Aimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Abarca made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Modesto Pirmin sent off a good shot on target. After 37 played minutes Internet XAire got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Eusko. When Modesto Pirmin fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Internet XAire's protests and gave Modesto Pirmin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Internet XAire's Modesto Pirmin got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 40 played minutes, Club Universidad Nacional's Gualterio Pio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Baldomiro Enetz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Universidad Nacional reached it. Modesto Pirmin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Internet XAire's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Aimar came free, but Baldomiro Enetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes of play Internet XAire's Modesto Pirmin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Club Universidad Nacional booed when Internet XAire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Pirmin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delmiro Sauveur to make the kick off. Internet XAire's attentive Jonatan Frechoso managed to snatch the ball when Ramon Rufo made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Internet XAire's Bryan Reyna got a free kick in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Jonatan Frechoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Internet XAire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Universidad Nacional the free kick. Internet XAire made a substitution. Saul Oskarbi replaced Delmiro Sauveur. Saul Oskarbi hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Baldomiro Enetz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lorenzo Aimar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 60 minute of play. In the 64th minute, Teodosio Sendoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Artal did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Baldomiro Enetz 66 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Gualterio Pio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Universidad Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Baldomiro Enetz made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Lorenzo Aimar sent off a good shot on target. Urbano Checa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascual Ubendu during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Universidad Nacional's Pascual Ubendu got a free kick in the 75th minute. A collision led to Club Universidad Nacional getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Fernando Belarmo hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes Internet XAire got a freekick which was hit by Saul Oskarbi. 89 minutes into the match, Saul Oskarbi notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Club Universidad Nacional's Fernando Abarca. Fernando Abarca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Club Universidad Nacional could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Internet XAire throughout the match.
