Spectators: 8036 (Terracing: 6028, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 160) Gogo Chago started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4thth minute of the game Arnoldo Savion who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sydney FC's Florian Guderian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sydney FC's Florian Guderian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Chago in the 9th minute of play. Vicente Santio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thorben Rittmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Asier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thorben Rittmann ran back to his position shaking his head. Natalio Inguma hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Sydney FC's Thorben Rittmann slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eloy Asier. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. Florian Guderian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnoldo Savion's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Conrado Cordairo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Asier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thorben Rittmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Chago came free, but Florian Guderian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thorben Rittmann got free with Eloy Asier in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute of the match, Thorben Rittmann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eloy Asier saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sydney FC made a substitution. Michael Hiemann replaced Gabriel Michel. Sydney FC's Pierre Möhn was substituted for Kees Plappert. After 49 minutes Chorroarín's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thorben Rittmann who took care of the corner kick. Sydney FC's Thorben Rittmann was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eloy Asier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thorben Rittmann made a kick off. In the 55th minute Bartolomeo Heinlein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Asier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Chorroarín's Gogo Chago ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florian Guderian. Florian Guderian yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Eloy Asier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thorben Rittmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Chorroarín booed when Sydney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nat Schmitt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chorroarín's Honorio Baladi was substituted for Adolfo Goi. Vicente Santio charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Santio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Vicente Santio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Hiemann to maneuver through the defense. Sydney FC's Florian Guderian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Sydney FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Chorroarín booed when Sydney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Merten Kilic didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 played minutes Chorroarín got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Lon. When Conrado Cordairo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when Chorroarín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Cordairo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Möhn in the 80th minute of play forced Chorroarín's goalkeeper Eloy Asier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Thorben Rittmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Eloy Asier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Filiberto Lon hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Sydney FC's Pierre Möhn got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With 93 minutes on the clock, Astor Leizarraga commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Chorroarín's Bonifacio Roldan got a free kick in the 99th minute.
