Róbson Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Pedro Navarro made a huge save. After 33 played minutes Ciruel Academy got a freekick which was hit by Rufo Azofra. Villaverde Celeste Clube were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Ciruel Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Róbson Donato took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Mané Garrincha got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-0. 36 minutes into the match. Perico Rojas's late challenge caught a Villaverde Celeste Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perico Rojas helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Frank Sten sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rufo Azofra in the 47th minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Alfredo Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tio Cabezon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ciruel Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Garrincha came free, but Pedro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
