In the 23rd minute of the match, Joeri Buys tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iurie Cocoș saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Jhon Kuys fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albertus FC's protests and gave Jhon Kuys a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Jhon Kuys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Christijan van Asseldonk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iurie Cocoș was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Frits Platvoet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Cimpoieru hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Ted Kamps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Iurie Cocoș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
