After having played for 19 minutes, Colby Sherwood managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. American Airlines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Colby Sherwood was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Albertus FC's Joeri Buys slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anthony Shields. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. 24 minutes into the match, American Airlines's goal looked a bit too open when Christijan van Asseldonk came free, but Anthony Shields reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertus FC's Leendert Borg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colby Sherwood in the 27th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Albertus FC's Ted Kamps slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anthony Shields. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. Leendert Borg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Titus Guillory, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Colby Sherwood took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leendert Borg. Leendert Borg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Anthony Shields showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joeri Buys in the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Joeri Buys made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Joeri Buys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Albertus FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Joeri Buys hit a great ball. Anthony Shields took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christijan van Asseldonk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christijan van Asseldonk in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anthony Shields prevented the ball from getting in the gole. American Airlines's Anthony Shields played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits Platvoet in the 69th minute of play. The Albertus FC fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Albertus FC's Joeri Buys looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Christijan van Asseldonk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Anthony Shields tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hubert Ottens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Anthony Shields breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. American Airlines's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
