Spectators: 7860 (Terracing: 5895, Seating: 1808, VIP seats: 157) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Remo Peres started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélio Guimarães. Hélio Guimarães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Amílton Barbosa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yetkiner Yabgu, 1-1. Neşat Arıcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Hélio Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yetkiner Yabgu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amílton Barbosa in the 17th minute. After a rather tough play, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Jefferson Ortiz got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hélio Guimarães saved E. C. Flamengo Paraibano from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amílton Barbosa got free with Yetkiner Yabgu in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hélio Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi came free, but Hélio Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The E. C. Flamengo Paraibano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. LOI were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Şensoy Andaç charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Şensoy Andaç the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to LOI getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Şensoy Andaç hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Neşat Arıcan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hélio Guimarães. The goal made the score 1-4. 64 minutes into the match, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goal looked a bit too open when Neşat Arıcan came free, but Hélio Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Remo Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Güvenç Semih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélio Guimarães having to interfere. In the 77th minute Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Neşat Arıcan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hélio Guimarães quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Hélio Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neşat Arıcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Güvenç Semih struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Hélio Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LOI. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Hélio Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save E. C. Flamengo Paraibano from getting a goal against them. Rony Lucas's late challenge caught a LOI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rony Lucas helped the player get up and apologised. Rony Lucas hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Hélio Guimarães skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Hélio Guimarães made a huge save. After a rather tough play, LOI's Güntekin Nabi got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind LOI's goalkeeper Yetkiner Yabgu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. LOI played a much better game than E. C. Flamengo Paraibano and deserved their victory. The E. C. Flamengo Paraibano players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
