Mugurel Zglobiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for E. C. Flamengo Paraibano. The supporters of FC ciufulici booed when E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Remo Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Zglobiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute of the game Damian Vulpescu made a throw-in which Pavel Slicaru played forward. A collision led to E. C. Flamengo Paraibano getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Váldson Queirós hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Hélio Guimarães successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 22nd play minute Sandu Pătrășconiu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hélio Guimarães. 1-0. In the 24th match minute, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio Pires to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Remo Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34thth minute of the game Inácio Silveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC ciufulici's Mugurel Zglobiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC ciufulici were furious when Edgar Comarnescu was red carded, 42 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for E. C. Flamengo Paraibano. Remo Peres stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mugurel Zglobiu. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The FC ciufulici fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when FC ciufulici's Sandu Pătrășconiu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jefferson Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Rareș Antonescu fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC ciufulici's protests and gave Rareș Antonescu a yellow card for diving instead. Rareș Antonescu hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Mugurel Zglobiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pavel Slicaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Simionică hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Hélio Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Slicaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélio Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Slicaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. FC ciufulici were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of E. C. Flamengo Paraibano for a fine match.
