Spectators: 8014 (Terracing: 6012, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 159) Piquirenda FC's Saverio Benat started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Delmiro Intxixu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilhelm Säv having to interfere. Olov Alebäck hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, Sundens BK's goalkeeper Wilhelm Säv had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saverio Benat. In the 12th minute, Piquirenda FC's Elias Emmanuel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elias Emmanuel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Piquirenda FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elias Emmanuel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Piquirenda FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Elias Emmanuel hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Sven-Olof Jernberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Intxixu in the 15th minute of play forced Sundens BK's goalkeeper Wilhelm Säv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sundens BK booed when Piquirenda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saverio Benat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th match minute, Sundens BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvar Söderman to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Delmiro Intxixu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilhelm Säv. That made the score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. After 43 played minutes Piquirenda FC got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Ilazki. When Evelio Ilazki came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Piquirenda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Ilazki couldn't finish the play. Piquirenda FC made a substitution. Segundo Corderun replaced Nunez Playo.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tommy Asserlindh to strike the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Toro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Wilhelm Säv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jon Lundqvist fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sundens BK's protests and gave Jon Lundqvist a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Sundens BK got a freekick which was hit by Jon Lundqvist. In the 64th match minute, Sundens BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Lundqvist to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 68 minutes, Maximiliano Toro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piquirenda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Toro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximiliano Toro took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilhelm Säv. Wilhelm Säv dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some careless play in the Piquirenda FC defense, Alvar Söderman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Cordearo. The Piquirenda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Cordearo should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Sundens BK's zone, Evelio Ilazki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilhelm Säv came out of the goal and Evelio Ilazki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evelio Ilazki hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Wilhelm Säv stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximiliano Toro's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Piquirenda FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sundens BK for a fine match.
