Fábio Garcia hit a great ball. Vinícius Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor-Egil Arntsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a little luck, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Vinícius Macedo got control of the ball when Kenneth Foldnes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The wind increased when Renatinho Linhares made the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Renatinho Linhares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brufoss IL's Olav Øverby was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 55 minutes of play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Ian Abreu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olav Øverby was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 86 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Tor-Egil Arntsen. Olav Øverby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Linhares in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Brufoss IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon-Egil Grønli didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
