Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olliver Todman in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olav Øverby prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dani Cochrane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastian Ytterstad in the 7th minute of the match. Olav Øverby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olliver Todman, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Ben Minton kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 19 minutes, Olliver Todman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Australian Youth Academy and the Brufoss IL players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olliver Todman hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Bradley Obree got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Brufoss IL's Tor-Egil Arntsen in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dani Cochrane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kenneth Foldnes in the 31st minute. In the 38th minute Bastian Ytterstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Cochrane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes of play, Australian Youth Academy's Neville Wal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olav Øverby was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute, Olliver Todman made a precise shot to the right of Olav Øverby. Brufoss IL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Bastian Ytterstad made the kick off in the second half. Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stian Steen in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Olliver Todman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Olav Øverby, 0-3. Australian Youth Academy's Dugald Berresford was substituted for Ben Minton. Brufoss IL made a substitution. Leif Mæhlum replaced Preben Halden. Brufoss IL's Tore Fagermo was substituted for Stian Steen. A collision led to Brufoss IL getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Arild Reppen hit a great ball. Olliver Todman came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Olav Øverby could save by the left post. When Dakota Gaffigan came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Australian Youth Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dakota Gaffigan couldn't finish the play. The corner led Australian Youth Academy's Dakota Gaffigan to fire away a dangerous shot which Olav Øverby despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 90th minute, Arild Reppen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olav Øverby acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dakota Gaffigan. After 93 minutes, Dugald Berresford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Australian Youth Academy and the Brufoss IL players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dugald Berresford kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Olliver Todman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olav Øverby having to make a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Australian Youth Academy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
