When Diguinho de Senna fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's protests and gave Diguinho de Senna a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Diguinho de Senna got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 7 played minutes Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Tabernilla. In the 14th minute, Narciso Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Zenon Señor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Diguinho de Senna got a free kick in the 17th minute. Severino Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Bañuelos in the 26th minute of play. Severino Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mendebal Larrechi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Katia Villalobos having to interfere. Mauricio Panero might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severino Madureira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mauricio Panero ran back to his position shaking his head. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Severino Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Bañuelos in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Cadimo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Paulo José de Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Katia Villalobos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Nacional's Katia Villalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinho Aparecido in the 52nd minute of play. Katia Villalobos came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Paulo José de Barros. But to his dismay, Paulo José de Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 55th minute Emanuel Bañuelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Katia Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José de Barros in the 57th minute of play. Mendebal Larrechi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Mendebal Larrechi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mendebal Larrechi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zenon Señor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Severino Madureira. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Severino Madureira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mendebal Larrechi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 70 minute of play. Júlio Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Katia Villalobos having to interfere. Emanuel Bañuelos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Severino Madureira made a huge save. In the 90th match minute, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Mattos to maneuver through the defense. Katia Villalobos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
