The Classe A Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doriva Simão should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Classe A Futebol Clube booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Gjessing didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christer Waaler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Sá in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Åsnes had won after a very even match.
