Terkild Svarte was slow to take the kick. During this time Strib Galacticos IF's players had a chance to rest. Preben Heie's late challenge caught a Nacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Preben Heie helped the player get up and apologised. Preben Heie kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Bañuelos made a kick off.
