The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Strib Galacticos IF defense, Bram Smits kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rikardt Kjeldsvig. The Strib Galacticos IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rikardt Kjeldsvig should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute Bram Smits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rikardt Kjeldsvig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viggo Rungsø kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Bram Smits spun around in front of the goal 15 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Strib Galacticos IF's goal. Marco Hak received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rikardt Kjeldsvig came out and tried to block the shot, but Marco Hak slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. After 25 played minutes Strib Galacticos IF got a freekick which was hit by Viggo Rungsø. Rikardt Kjeldsvig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johannes Rogaars's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. If Robin Hagensted had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niels Rensenbrink didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfred Dærup went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Rikardt Kjeldsvig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Rogaars in the 44th minute of the match. Rikardt Kjeldsvig acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tim Hartogh. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bram Smits made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Johannes Rogaars made a precise shot to the right of Rikardt Kjeldsvig. Strib Galacticos IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 56 minutes into the game, Ludwig Jærndal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strib Galacticos IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Pitt Bier the free kick. After a rather tough play, Strib Galacticos IF's Ludwig Jærndal got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Bram Smits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rikardt Kjeldsvig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Strib Galacticos IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tim Hartogh was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Pitt Bier's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geert Kremer during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Geert Kremer kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Niels Rensenbrink acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 61st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Terkild Svarte. Pascal Beukenkamp hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Dærup in the 71st minute of play forced AC Pitt Bier's goalkeeper Niels Rensenbrink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Strib Galacticos IF getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Timmy Voldvard hit a great ball. Bram Smits recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AC Pitt Bier's Wilfried Oude Kamphuis was substituted for Klaas Rijkaard. 87 minutes into the game, Vincent Wielens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Pitt Bier's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strib Galacticos IF the free kick. Vincent Wielens hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The supporters of AC Pitt Bier booed when Strib Galacticos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Dærup didn't get a good kick on the ball. Strib Galacticos IF's Rikardt Kjeldsvig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damien van Putten in the 94th minute of play. Rikardt Kjeldsvig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Twan Lute's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. AC Pitt Bier's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
