In the 12th minute Zenon Señor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Åsnes booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fero Zubillaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christer Waaler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Bañuelos in the 71st minute of play. Åsnes's Christer Waaler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Åsnes from getting a goal against them. After 85 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Sandersen. In the 87th minute Roque Molla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Morten Hestad struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Katia Villalobos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åsnes.
