Glasgow Rangers FC were furious when Arturo Vitucci was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 5th minute, one of Glasgow Rangers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Glasgow Rangers FC. 12 minutes into the game, Felice Schiacciacasse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glasgow Rangers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CE LAJEADENSE RS the free kick. After 12 played minutes Glasgow Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Felice Schiacciacasse. 13 minutes into the game, Eliézer Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glasgow Rangers FC the free kick. Eliézer Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15thth minute of the game Dennis Lio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Glasgow Rangers FC's Fulvio Belfiore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Glasgow Rangers FC from getting a goal against them. Glauco Paranaense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Fulvio Belfiore made a huge save. A hard shot by Marcinho das Neves from long distance, 43 minutes into the match, got Fulvio Belfiore's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, Glasgow Rangers FC's Fulvio Belfiore got control of the ball when Glauco Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Eliézer Ramos lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Fulvio Belfiore. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dennis Lio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lauro Linhares was a little too slow when Eraldo Monaco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-1. Lauro Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Vago in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Felice Schiacciacasse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Lauro Linhares made a huge save. Lauro Linhares came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Glasgow Rangers FC's Eraldo Monaco. But to his dismay, Eraldo Monaco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Lauro Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Lio in the 86th minute of the match. CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Dennis Lio scored to the left of an out of position Lauro Linhares, making the score, 1-3. After 91 minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Comunardo Zollino who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Comunardo Zollino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lauro Linhares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lauro Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Lio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 97 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Cléber de Souza.
