Inter de Chillán's Basilio Dragicevic tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Inter de Chillán's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Ilie Ciociu scored to the left of an out of position Basilio Dragicevic, making the score, 2-0. Basilio Dragicevic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Turceanu in the 36th minute of the match. Ilie Ciociu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Luis Alfaro was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Arosculesei came free, but Basilio Dragicevic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Hurezan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ares FC -MM- getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Anton Hurezan hit a great ball. Paulo Brotfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Basilio Dragicevic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigi Arosculesei, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Francisco Lacunza kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Anton Hurezan struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Basilio Dragicevic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ares FC -MM-. Basilio Dragicevic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgil Turceanu went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute Francisco Lacunza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Traian Pantea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Ares FC -MM- were the better team. Ares FC -MM-'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
