Ferrari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rômulo Freitas couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute, Willian Paes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basilio Dragicevic was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Willian Paes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Basilio Dragicevic made a huge save. Adam Badiola hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. If Willian Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when S.C. Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Francisco Lacunza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aloísio Mangueira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Basilio Dragicevic came out and tried to block the shot, but Aloísio Mangueira slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 46th minute. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Willian Paes to strike the kick off in the second half. Amado Mas's late challenge caught a S.C. Ferrari's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amado Mas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Mas to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute of the match Rômulo Freitas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basilio Dragicevic skillfully saved the ball. In the 59th minute, Francisco Lacunza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duda das Neves hit a great ball. S.C. Ferrari's Rui de Lima was substituted for Aloísio Mangueira. 88 minutes into the match, Willian Paes notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Inter de Chillán's Basilio Dragicevic. Basilio Dragicevic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. S.C. Ferrari's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
