Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricki Gervais in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertil Skarkman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kenny Edström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Digital Monsterz FC booed when Egg Chasers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Bowden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tage Söderberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bradley Longstaffe. Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Johan Nyberg hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Digital Monsterz FC's Bertil Skarkman got control of the ball when Billie Curtis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Digital Monsterz FC's Bertil Skarkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricki Gervais in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Åke Månsson in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bradley Longstaffe saved Egg Chasers FC from getting behind. After having played for 33 minutes, Vinnie Jones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Egg Chasers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinnie Jones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Åke Månsson's late challenge caught a Egg Chasers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Åke Månsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute Ricki Gervais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Skarkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Digital Monsterz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Olofsson to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Digital Monsterz FC defense, Ricki Gervais kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bertil Skarkman. The Digital Monsterz FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bertil Skarkman should have stopped the shot. After 44 played minutes Digital Monsterz FC got a freekick which was hit by Herman Skark. Patrick Toovey kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricki Gervais to make the kick off. The supporters of Egg Chasers FC booed when Digital Monsterz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Backman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 played minutes Digital Monsterz FC got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Giöck. Vinnie Jones hit a great ball. Ricki Gervais scored 2-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bertil Skarkman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's Danny Booth got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th match minute, Digital Monsterz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixten Åström to maneuver through the defense. Bertil Skarkman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Booth in the 79th minute of the match. Johan Nyberg hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Danny Booth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Egg Chasers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Digital Monsterz FC's Bertil Skarkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricki Gervais in the 89th minute of play. If Ricki Gervais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vinnie Jones came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Egg Chasers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinnie Jones couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Egg Chasers FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Digital Monsterz FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
