After some careless play in the Digital Monsterz FC defense, Geovani Borges kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bertil Skarkman. The Digital Monsterz FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bertil Skarkman should have stopped the shot. After 31 minutes, Tage Söderberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Digital Monsterz FC and the Figueira SC FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Digital Monsterz FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Figueira SC FSCMZ:s goal. Renatinho Rodrigues took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bertil Skarkman. Bertil Skarkman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Evaristo Meira put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Bertil Skarkman. Marcelo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Vassenius in the 38th minute of the match. After 44 minutes, Jens-Erik Giöck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Digital Monsterz FC and the Figueira SC FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evaristo Meira to make the kick off. When Evaristo Meira came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Figueira SC FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Meira couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, Kenny Edström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Medeiros. Figueira SC FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kenny Edström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 84th minute, Renatinho Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evaristo Meira charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evaristo Meira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Evaristo Meira got a free kick in the 86th minute. Bertil Skarkman was a little too slow when Evaristo Meira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-5. The Figueira SC FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Figueira SC FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
