Spectators: 7979 (Terracing: 5985, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 159) Ragnar Johnsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Cristian Nicolescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ragnar Johnsson in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Iulian Doinaș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iulian Doinaș in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jens-Ove Åkesson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cristian Nicolescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ove Ekberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Paralia Athens's Petre Maghiran tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Petre Maghiran received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jens-Ove Åkesson came out and tried to block the shot, but Petre Maghiran slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. After 22 minutes, Albin Emander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Di Röe and the Paralia Athens players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Albin Emander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Nyman hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Iulian Doinaș came free, but Jens-Ove Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Ilie Tudoran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33rd play minutes Petre Maghiran shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jens-Ove Åkesson and just under the crossbar into goal. Paralia Athens's Cristian Nicolescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Ekberg in the 37th minute of play. Manuel Marghescu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Ilie Tudoran charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ilie Tudoran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Tudoran.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iulian Doinaș stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Di Röe booed when Paralia Athens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordache Ţugui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paralia Athens's Cristian Nicolescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Paralia Athens from getting a goal against them. If Iordache Ţugui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Cristian Nicolescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Manuel Marghescu fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paralia Athens's protests and gave Manuel Marghescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th match minute, Paralia Athens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Marghescu to maneuver through the defense. Jens-Ove Åkesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Maghiran, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Ekberg in the 93rd minute of play forced Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Cristian Nicolescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paralia Athens's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
