The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Camilo Sesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Tomás Berau, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute Donostia Ceron suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 4 minutes, Saturnín Vicuña mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U. de Tarapacá and the Loco Team FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Saturnín Vicuña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fidelio Herboso fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U. de Tarapacá's protests and gave Fidelio Herboso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Armando Labaras made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Talledo. U. de Tarapacá's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Ysidro Cuenllas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Candido Hoefler hit a great ball. The long shot by Jesus Lena in the 13th minute really tested Mariano Talledo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 15 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Velasco Oñate. Saturnín Vicuña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U. de Tarapacá's Mariano Talledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save U. de Tarapacá from getting a goal against them. After 30 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Val Quera. In the 34th minute Saturnín Vicuña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Sesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Talledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ysidro Cuenllas in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by U. de Tarapacá's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jesus Lena was slow to take the kick. During this time Loco Team FC's players had a chance to rest. Fidelio Herboso tried in the 37th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Mariano Talledo a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-0. Camilo Sesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnín Vicuña in the 44th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Labaras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Txema Vuelvetoros during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Txema Vuelvetoros hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Loco Team FC's Michel Astudillo was substituted for Furman Albertos. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Pedro Tomás Berau got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Armando Labaras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loco Team FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With an all-out effort, U. de Tarapacá's Camilo Sesto threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Saturnín Vicuña, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. José Alberto Alonso's late challenge caught a Loco Team FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Alberto Alonso helped the player get up and apologised. Mariano Talledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Labaras in the 71st minute of the match. Mariano Talledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Astudillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Mariano Talledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Astudillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvano Parayos's late challenge caught a U. de Tarapacá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvano Parayos helped the player get up and apologised. Saturnín Vicuña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Sesto having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Loco Team FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
