When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alfredo Corrente sped through Anabolic Boys's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elof Hellgren. In the 6th minute, Alfredo Corrente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 played minutes A.C. Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Bruno. After 11 played minutes A.C. Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Maldini. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viktor Josefsson got free with Francesco Toldo in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute of the match Anabolic Boys got a corner. A.C. Patagonia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jim Backlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. Anabolic Boys's Alvin Skröder suffered a concussion in the 16th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Edoardo Paris's late challenge caught a Anabolic Boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edoardo Paris helped the player get up and apologised. Anabolic Boys's Andreas Bergfelt was substituted for Alvin Skröder. Elof Hellgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moreno Torricelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Anabolic Boys's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Angelo Mancini was slow to take the kick. During this time A.C. Patagonia's players had a chance to rest. Anabolic Boys's Elof Hellgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Corrente in the 24th minute of play. After 26 played minutes, A.C. Patagonia's Angelo Mancini shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elof Hellgren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.C. Patagonia reached it. Francesco Toldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Åke Abrahamsson in the 29th minute of the match. Alfredo Corrente took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elof Hellgren. Elof Hellgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Anabolic Boys's Elof Hellgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Corrente in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Angelo Mancini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elof Hellgren skillfully saved the ball. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
Anabolic Boys's Reine Wennerström was substituted for Viktor Josefsson. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jens-Åke Abrahamsson to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Corrente got free with Elof Hellgren in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reine Wennerström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of A.C. Patagonia booed when Anabolic Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Bergfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 played minutes Alfredo Corrente rounded Anabolic Boys's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. 75 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Reine Wennerström came free, but Francesco Toldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Gustaf Gulliksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anabolic Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaf Gulliksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francesco Toldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 78 minutes into the game, Emiliano Di Santo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.C. Patagonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anabolic Boys the free kick. In the 78th minute, Emiliano Di Santo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elof Hellgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Corrente, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Francesco Goffredo charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francesco Goffredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th match minute, A.C. Patagonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francesco Goffredo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, A.C. Patagonia's Dario Dainelli got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Francesco Goffredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.C. Patagonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francesco Goffredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A.C. Patagonia played a much better game than Anabolic Boys and deserved their victory. The Anabolic Boys players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
