Sezai Onuralp charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sezai Onuralp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 10 minutes into the match, Mouritz Søjbjerg notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's Şadi Cihaner. Şadi Cihaner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Monks in Robes's Orla Nevin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ata Türkoğlu in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ata Türkoğlu in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orla Nevin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the game, Ata Türkoğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Orla Nevin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the match, Mouritz Søjbjerg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Şadi Cihaner. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mouritz Søjbjerg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Baturalp Özdener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Orla Nevin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34thth minute of the game Ata Türkoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monks in Robes's Orla Nevin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ata Türkoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Orla Nevin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Numan Akgöze, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Numan Akgöze in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orla Nevin saved Monks in Robes from getting behind. In the 47th match minute, Monks in Robes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vagner Ørsnes to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vilhelm Palmekrone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Konstantin Tvilling's late challenge caught a Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konstantin Tvilling helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Konstantin Tvilling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orla Nevin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baturalp Özdener in the 54th minute of play. Ata Türkoğlu scored 3-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orla Nevin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th minute Ata Türkoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orla Nevin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Monks in Robes defense, Ata Türkoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orla Nevin. The Monks in Robes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orla Nevin should have stopped the shot. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa made a substitution. Samim Özbilir replaced Ferman Sabri. Ata Türkoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's Yılmaz Kandemir managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Romeo Nissen in the 77 minute of the game. In the 81st minute, Mete Gazov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orla Nevin was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Orla Nevin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ata Türkoğlu in the 85th minute of play. Ata Türkoğlu struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Orla Nevin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa. After 89 played minutes Monks in Robes got a freekick which was hit by Rene Ringkvist. In the 100th minute Ata Türkoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orla Nevin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
