Spectators: 8414 (Terracing: 6311, Seating: 1935, VIP seats: 168) Benigno Ricart started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Bernardo Estevez scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Erasto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Marciano Tanio fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Hornos's protests and gave Marciano Tanio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Marciano Tanio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angel Taurino was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 9th minute Eustaquio Omero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Leandro Guib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Eustaquio Omero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Hornos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Pablo Erasto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Estevez in the 21st minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Alfredo Rojas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leopoldo Petri was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 33 played minutes Los Hornos got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Valery. Leopoldo Petri made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Benigno Ricart sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute Bernardo Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Estevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Erasto having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Bernardo Estevez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Hornos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Candela FC the free kick. Bernardo Estevez hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, La Candela FC's Alfredo Rojas got a free kick in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eustaquio Omero to make the kick off. The supporters of La Candela FC booed when Los Hornos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Tanio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Erasto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Estevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Bernardo Estevez might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pablo Erasto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Estevez ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the match, Los Hornos's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Rojas came free, but Leopoldo Petri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Estevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Erasto having to interfere. Los Hornos's Leopoldo Petri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Ricart in the 68th minute of play. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Alfredo Rojas sped through Los Hornos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leopoldo Petri. After 84 minutes of play La Candela FC's Alfredo Rojas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the last second Pablo Erasto throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bernardo Estevez in the 88thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Los Hornos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
