Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Rodriguinho Pernambucano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Merusca F&P - CIMZ from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Merusca F&P - CIMZ's zone, Benicio Mateo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodriguinho Pernambucano came out of the goal and Benicio Mateo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Willian de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. A hard shot by Patricio Sabin from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Rodriguinho Pernambucano's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 30th match minute, Merusca F&P - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian de Salles to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Vidal in the 47th minute of play forced Estrellas de Caballito's goalkeeper Nunez Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adelino Costa to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Geronimo Nisio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Dieguinho Rossi got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Cristian Obano fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrellas de Caballito's protests and gave Cristian Obano a yellow card for diving instead. Cristian Obano hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Rodriguinho Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Bento, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Eugenio Delfino charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugenio Delfino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Obano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rodriguinho Pernambucano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Cristian Obano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodriguinho Pernambucano was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Rodriguinho Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Luzea in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Merusca F&P - CIMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
